The 1986 Benson & Hedges Masters was an invitation-only snooker tournament of the 1985/86 season that was played from January 26 to February 2, 1986 at the Wembley Conference Center in London . It was the twelfth edition of the Masters.

Cliff Thorburn won the tournament by beating Jimmy White 9-5 in the final . Thorburn won the Masters for the third time and was the first player to successfully defend his Masters title the following year.
