The 1980 Benson & Hedges Masters was an invitation-only snooker tournament of the 1979/80 season that was held from February 6 to 10, 1980 at the Wembley Conference Center in London . It was the sixth edition of the Masters.
The Northern Irishman Alex Higgins reached the Masters final for the third time in a row, but had to admit defeat to the Welshman Terry Griffiths 5: 9. On his way to the final, Higgins was able to defeat defending champion Perrie Mans in the quarter-finals 5-1.
