The PartyPoker.com Snooker Shoot-Out 2012 was an invitational snooker tournament for the 2011/12 season . The tournament, which was held for the third time and was called the Snooker Shoot-Out for the second time , was held from January 27 to 29, 2012 in Tower Circus in the English city ​​of Blackpool . After defending champion Nigel Bond was eliminated in the first round, Barry Hawkins won the tournament for the first time with a 61:23 final victory on points against Graeme Dott . The highest break of the tournament was played with a 135 break by Martin Gould .

Prize money

Although the tournament had a new sponsor with PartyPoker.com , the prize pool remained relatively constant, increasing by just £ 500 to £ 130,000, of which just under a quarter went to the winner.

Tournament course

All players competed against each other from the first round in the knockout system , whereby according to the special rules of the tournament , only one frame per game and numerous other peculiarities such as the shot clock were played. Furthermore, the games of the following round were each drawn anew. The round of the last 64 was the only one to be played within two sessions, the round of the last 32 and the round of 16 again in one session each. Finally, the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final were played within a session that closed the tournament.
