The 1988 Hong Kong Masters was a professional snooker tournament in Hong Kong . It was played from August 3rd to 7th at Queen Elizabeth Stadium and was part of the 1988/89 snooker season . The first 16 players in the snooker world rankings were entitled to start . In a purely English final, Neal Foulds lost 3: 6 against Jimmy White , who also played the only century break in the semi-finals.
