The Hong Kong Masters was a snooker tournament that was held six times in the 1980s and was part of the Snooker Main Tour again for one season in 2017/18 . The tournament was established by Barry Hearn along with several other tournaments in Asia in the 1980s. The tournament became part of the World Series of Snooker in 1987 . In 1988 the tournament was discontinued, in 2017 it was held again.
