The Malta Grand Prix was a professional snooker tournament that was held seven times from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s , with six editions being an invitation and only once a ranking tournament. The tournament was held at a total of three different locations on the island state of Malta . Record winners of the tournament are the Irishman Ken Doherty and the Scot Stephen Hendry with two titles each; Hendry also played the highest break in tournament history with his Maximum Break 2001.
