The Zhengzhou Open 2013 (also Asian Tour 2013/14 - Event 3 ) was a snooker tournament as part of the Players Tour Championship 2013/14 , which was held from October 20 to 24, 2013 at the Guanhua Grand Hotel in Zhengzhou , China .
The Chinese Liang Wenbo won the tournament by beating his compatriot Lü Haotian 4-0 in the final .

Tournament schedule
109 players had registered for the tournament. Instead of 64, there were only 41 games in the first round: 19 players came with a bye directly in round 2, in four other games one of the reported opponents could not play.
Round 1 to the round of 16
With Ding Junhui one of the top players of the tournament was canceled, the other, Mark Selby retired in his first appearance in Round 2 against a Chinese amateur from. Other top 16 players such as John Higgins and Stuart Bingham also failed to make it to the round of 16, with four Europeans facing twelve Chinese on the day of the final.

Quarter-finals to finals
The 3: 1 ratio of Chinese versus European players lasted from the last sixteen to the semifinals on the day of the final. In the end, two Chinese professional players prevailed: the established professional Liang Wenbo and the youngest professional Lü Haotian , who had only come to the Main Tour a few months earlier. In a one-sided final, the more experienced player prevailed: Liang clearly won 4-0.
