In the final, Marco Fu prevailed 9: 6 against Neil Robertson . Fu won his second ranking tournament.

Tournament commentary

Michael White was close to a maximum break in his qualifying game against Nigel Bond when he missed the final black after 140 points. After Mark Selby , Ken Doherty , Barry Pinches and Robin Hull , he is the fifth player to have this mishap at a professional tournament.

After his team victory and the silver medal in the individual competition at the 4th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games 2013 in Incheon, Korea two days earlier, the Chinese top player Ding Junhui did not make the final round due to problems with his pass. This brought Rory McLeod into the second round with a free ticket.
