Leo Scullion

Leo Scullion (born April 10, 1958 Glasgow ) is a Scottish, professional referee of the snooker billiards variant .

Life

Scullion first worked as a taxi driver and police officer. In 1984 he passed the Grade 3 qualification as a snooker referee. He has been doing this professionally since 1999. His first assignment as a professional referee was at the Challenge Tour in 1999 . So far (November 2019) he has led four maximum breaks .

In 2016 he announced that he had lung cancer but that the disease had been defeated.

Scullion mentioned watching golf and sports on television as his hobbies in an interview . If possible, he plays snooker himself, his highest break was 93. When asked what he had in his pocket as a referee, he replied: 'Two ball markers and a £ 5 coin because it's big and easy to use'.

As part of the 2019 Snooker World Championship , he conducted his first World Championship final on May 5 and 6, 2019.
