Shi Hanqing ( Chinese  石汉青 , Pinyin Shí Hàn Qīng ; * May 4, 1989 ) is a Chinese pool and snooker player .

Career

In September 2009 Shi Hanqing took part as a wildcard player at the Shanghai Masters , but was eliminated in the wildcard round against Matthew Selt with 0: 5. In June 2012 he took part in a PTC tournament for the first time. At the tournament in Zhangjiagang he was defeated in the first round by the eventual finalist Stephen Lee . In August 2009 he reached the quarter-finals of the U21 World Snooker Championship , which he lost 6-1 against the eventual finalist Soheil Vahedi . At the Asian Cup he was eliminated in the semifinals against Mei Xiwen and then lost the game for third place against Au Chi Wai . At the second and third PTC tournaments of the 2012/13 season Shi moved into the round of 16 and lost to Barry Hawkins and Ken Doherty respectively . Via the prize money list of the PTC season 2012/13, Shi received a professional place for the Main Tour seasons 2013/14 and 2014/15 . After reaching the round of 64 at the Yixing Open and the Zhangjiagang Open in the 2013-14 season and not participating in a full world ranking tournament, he did not renew his WPBSA membership in the summer of 2014 and played the second season of his two-year tour card no more. He then focused his career on pool.

In January 2014, Shi had already reached the final of the World Chinese 8-Ball Masters and lost 6:15 to Englishman Gareth Potts . At the World Chinese 8-Ball Masters 2015 , he finished fifth. Three weeks later he reached the round of 32 at the Chinese 8-Ball World Championship , where he was eliminated by Mark Selby . After finishing seventh at the World Chinese 8-Ball Masters 2016 , he made it into the final of the Chinese 8-Ball World Championship in March 2016 after beating defending champion Darren Appleton in the semi- finals, in which he beat Englishman Mick Hill with 21:20 defeated.
