Players Tour Championship 2012/13

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Players Tour Championship 2012/13 was a series of snooker tournaments that took place for the third time in the 2012/13 snooker season . Compared to the other world ranking tournaments of the Snooker Main Tour there were fewer points to be won for the snooker world ranking list . It was a Pro-Am tournament series, in which Main Tour professionals and amateurs played. However, the eight most successful participants in the UK / Europe prize money ranking and four in the Asia prize money ranking who had not already qualified for the following season via the snooker world ranking or a 2-year tour ticket qualified directly for the 2013/14 snooker season .

The 25 most successful players of the 10 tournaments held in Great Britain and Europe qualified for the final tournament ( "Grand Finals" ), where they played for significantly higher prize money. Compared to the previous year, three tournaments were added in China, but two in England were dropped. The winners of the Asian PTCs qualified directly for the Grand Final. In addition, four places on the Main Tour for the following season and the Grand Final were awarded via a separate prize money ranking for the three Chinese tournaments.
