The Wuxi Classic 2012 was a snooker tournament as part of the Snooker Main Tour of the 2012/13 season , which was held from June 25 to July 1, 2012 at the Wuxi City Sports Park Stadium in Wuxi .
Defending champion was Mark Selby , who was eliminated 4-5 in the quarterfinals against Stuart Bingham .
During the fourth qualifying round Dominic Dale and Peter Lines broke a 20-year-old record: After numerous foul points, Lines won the fourth frame of the game with 108: 84. With a total of 192 points scored in one frame, the previous maximum number of points from the game Sean Storey against Graham Cripsey (93:92 = 185 points, qualification for the Asian Open 1992) was exceeded.
In the final, Stuart Bingham managed the 89th official maximum break . It was Stuart Bingham's third 147 break.
In the end, however, Ricky Walden won the final 10: 4, thus securing his second title in a world ranking tournament.
