The International Championship 2012 was a snooker tournament that was held from October 28th to November 4th 2012 at the Sichuan International Tennis Center in Chengdu . It was the first edition of this tournament and also the third of five ranking tournaments in China in the 2012/13 season .
The reigning world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan from England canceled the tournament on October 26th for health reasons. The Indian Pankaj Advani , who had qualified for the finals of a full ranking tournament for the first time, withdrew his participation in favor of the World Billiards Championship , which was taking place at the same time . Stephen Lee had been banned from an ongoing investigation into suspected betting fraud and was unable to attend.
In the final, the Englishman Judd Trump prevailed 10: 8 against Neil Robertson . Trump won his third title in a world ranking tournament and took first place in the world ranking list. At the previous Shanghai Masters he was also in the final.
