The OPPO International Championship 2017 was a snooker tournament as part of the Snooker Main Tour , which was held from October 29th to November 5th in Daqing , in the northeast of the People's Republic of China .
The defending champion was world number one Mark Selby , who also prevailed in the final this year and beat Mark Allen 10: 7.
Prize money
As with the China Championship and the World Open , the prize money at the International Championship was again increased significantly. All three major Chinese tournaments had the third highest prize money on the Main Tour, each with a total of £ 700,000 in prize money. Almost £ 50,000 more was handed out this year, but that only benefited the players from the quarter-finals onwards.

The Rolling 147 Prize for a maximum break was £ 5,000 and was won by Kyren Wilson .
Final round
On Sunday, October 29th, the eight catch-up games took place and the first round began, which was completed on Monday. One round took place in each of the following three days, the two semi-finals, each in two sessions over 9 winning frames , spread over Friday and Saturday. On the final Sunday the best-of-19 final was held.

qualification
The qualifying round was played from 26 to 30 September 2017 at the Guild Hall in the English city of Preston , up to eight games . The top two in the world rankings , Mark Selby and John Higgins , as well as the Chinese players Ding Junhui , Liang Wenbo , Zhou Yuelong , Yu Delu , Yan Bingtao and Zhao Xintong (Games 1, 8, 32, 35, 37, 43, 54 and 64 ) only played their games in China. All games were played in the best-of-11 mode .
