final

On October 30th, the final of the Shanghai Masters 2016 a month earlier, won by Ding Junhui , was repeated. This time Mark Selby was the more convincing player from the start. After two frames with high breaks he also won the contested third frame before the Chinese could come to a frame win. Even after the break, Ding didn't succeed very much, and attempts to save the starting position for the evening event failed. Without very big breaks, but with great efficiency, the Englishman went into the second session with a clear 8: 1. In the first frame of the evening, Ding missed the chance to make the result more bearable with a 54-0 lead, and Selby stole the point with a 62 clearance. With another high break, he then made the 10: 1 perfect.
