The Coral Welsh Open 2017 was a world ranking tournament as part of the Snooker Main Tour 2016/17 and took place from February 13th to 19th, 2017 at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff , Wales . They were the fourth and final part of the Home Nations Series that season.

The winner of the tournament was Stuart Bingham , who ultimately defeated his opponent Judd Trump in a decider with 9: 8 frames.

Prize money

The prize money increased by £ 42,000 compared to the previous season. The distribution is identical for all four tournaments in the Home Nations Series .
