The Kaspersky Lab Riga Masters 2016 was a snooker tournament as part of the Snooker Main Tour in the 2016/17 season , which was held from June 22nd to 24th in the Arena Riga in Latvia . It was the successor to the Riga Open, which had previously been held twice in the same location . The defending champion Barry Hawkins did not take part in the tournament.
The winner was the world number five Neil Robertson , who defeated Michael Holt 5: 2 in the final.
Prize money
Compared to the last Riga Open, the prize money increased from 125,000 to around 200,000 euros, with the winner doubling to 50,000 euros.

No players were seeded in the draw for the tournament. The games in the final round were played in best-of-7 mode up to and including the quarter-finals. The semi-finals and finals were decided over a maximum of nine frames.
