final

In a remarkable final, John Higgins , who had won the China Championship a week earlier , and Ronnie O'Sullivan , who had been unbeaten in the Champion of Champions tournament since 2013, met. Almost all frames were decided by breaks of over 50 points. Only in the last frame of the first session, when both players had obviously lost their concentration, did the game go back and forth. Previously, both players had shared the first eight frames, O'Sullivan went into the break one frame ahead. In the evening session, Higgins turned the game, but then both alternated until the 7: 7. Despite the many high breaks, O'Sullivan's equalizer was the only Century in the final. After that, Higgins became the first player to play two games ahead. In the decisive frame he started again for a high break, but needed two more attempts until he finally won 10: 7.
