The ManBetX Champion of Champions 2018 was a snooker invitation tournament of the Snooker Main Tour of the 2018/19 season , which was held from November 5 to 11, 2018. The tournament has been taking place in the Ricoh Arena in Coventry in Central England since 2013 . The defending champion was Shaun Murphy .

Mark Selby managed a maximum break in the second frame in his group game against Neil Robertson . It was Selby's third maximum, the fifth of the season and the 144th overall.

In the final, Ronnie O'Sullivan beat his compatriot Kyren Wilson 10: 9 and won the tournament for the third time.

Attendees

The winners of the professional tournaments in the previous 12 months were invited, starting with the title winner of the Champion of Champions tournament in the previous year. Since there were 26 tournaments but only 16 participants, a ranking was established with the World Championship and the UK Championship at the top and the Shoot Out and the 6 Reds World Championship at the end. If there had been more than 16 different tournament winners, the value of the tournament would have decided. However, there were so many multiple winners that places remained vacant, which were filled by the top 4 players in the world rankings who had not yet qualified. This resulted in the following field of participants:

Tournament schedule

The eight best-placed players in the world rankings were set according to their placement; the other eight were drawn to them for the opening games. Four players each formed a group. Each group played two knockouts in the afternoon. -Games and in the evening the winners contested the respective group finals, in which the semi-final participants were determined.
