Spills and Chills (US Series Title : Sports News Reviews: Spills and Chills ) is a 1949 American short film directed by Robert Youngson . The producer of the film Walton C. Ament was nominated for an Oscar for Spills and Chills .

The ten-minute film is reminiscent of daring daredevils, flying people and stunt artists who also appeared in smear theaters and presented their tricks. Youngson's compilation is reminiscent of such entertaining lectures as "The Golden Age of Comedy", "When Comedy Was King" and "The Great Chase" as well as Lillian Boyer's carefree appearances on a rope ladder attached to the wing of a double-decker.

Award

Walton C. Ament was nominated for an Oscar at the 1950 Academy Awards for the film in the category "Best Short Film" (1 film role) , but had to admit defeat to Jack Eaton and his film Aquatic House Party .
