The International Championship 2014 was a snooker tournament as part of the Snooker Main Tour of the 2014/15 season , which was held from October 26th to November 2nd, 2014 in the Sichuan International Tennis Center in Chengdu , China .
The defending champion was the Chinese Ding Junhui , who won three consecutive world ranking tournaments with his victory in Chengdu last year. This time, however, he failed in the qualification 5: 6 against the amateur player Wang Zepeng.
In the final, Ricky Walden beat Mark Allen 10: 7 and won his third title in a world ranking tournament.
Prize money and world ranking points
Since no world ranking points have been awarded since this season and the world ranking position was calculated according to the prize money, the importance of the tournament increased. Only at the Snooker World Championship and the UK Championship were higher winnings distributed.
