The World Grand Prix 2015 was a snooker tournament of the Snooker Main Tour of the 2014/15 season . It was from 16 to 22 March 2015 at Venue Cymru in Welsh Llandudno discharged. It was an invitational tournament with no value for the snooker world rankings and was held for the first time this season.

A seeding list was created for the tournament analogous to the world rankings. The prize money won from previous tournaments was taken into account. Unlike the world rankings, it was only a one-year rating and includes the results from the 2014 World Snooker Championship to the 2015 Gdynia Open . The top 32 of this evaluation were invited to North Wales.

The winner of the tournament was the Englishman Judd Trump , who again managed to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan in the final after three years .

The opening round and round of 16 took place on 16./17. and March 18 respectively. Thursday, March 19th, was a day of rest before the three final rounds from Friday to Sunday were played.

With Mark Selby and Neil Robertson, two top players were eliminated in the round of 16. Judd Trump struggled hard and had to make three decision-making frames. In the semifinals he was already 1: 5 behind against Martin Gould , but was able to turn the match to 6: 5 with a show of strength and move into the final.
