The SangSom 6-Red World Championship 2014 was a Six Red Snooker invitation tournament of the Snooker Main Tour of the 2014/15 season , which was held from September 1st to 6th, 2014 at the Montien Riverside Hotel in Bangkok , Thailand . It was the sixth edition of the 6-Red World Championship.
Defending champion was the Englishman Mark Davis , who was eliminated this year in the round of 16 against the Thai amateur player Kritsanut Lertsattayatthorn . The winner of the tournament was Stephen Maguire from Scotland , who was in the finals for the first time in this tournament series. The second finalist was Ricky Walden , who won the tournament in 2008 and reached the final in 2010 .
