The SangSom 6-Red World Grand Prix 2009 was a Six-Red-Snooker invitation tournament in the 2009-10 season . He was not part of the Snooker Main Tour , but about half of the participants were Main Tour professionals at the time of the tournament. The tournament was held from July 7th to 12th, 2009 at the Montien Riverside Hotel in Bangkok , Thailand . The 6-Red World Grand Prix was held for the first time last year as 6-Red Snooker International .
England's Jimmy White won the tournament by beating fellow countryman Barry Hawkins 8-6 in the final . White was able to defeat defending champion Ricky Walden 6: 5 in the round of 16.
