Annette Meisl (* in Rheinfelden ) is a German author , musician , manager and entrepreneur .

Life

Annette Meisl grew up with her sister in southern Baden. She had violin lessons since she was seven. After graduating from high school, she first went to France as an au pair and then to Madrid. In addition to her mother tongue German, she also speaks fluent English, Spanish, French and Turkish.

Meisl founded the artist agency La Gala in 1993 and opened La Galana in 2005 , Cologne's first cigar factory with a tasting salon. In 2012 she published her guidebook Five Men for Me - A SEXperiment . She lives in Cologne .

Street music - Duo Arrabal

Meisl lived as a street musician in Madrid for three years . There she was part of the Movida madrileña and financed her living as a musician and film actress. With the Galician guitarist Ramón Regueira, whom she met in Madrid, she went back to Germany in the mid-1980s and founded the artist duo Arrabal. Two recordings followed for Edition Día: Tango del Arrabal with Ciro Pérez and Aire Puro with Roberto Darvin . The repertoire of the Duo Arrabal included standards of Latin American and Spanish folklore, tangos and their own compositions. During their live performances from 1986 to 1990, the Duo Arrabal explained the history of tango and the tradition of Latin American classics to the audience and contributed to the rising enthusiasm for tango , as with the recording of the LP “Tango del Arrabal” Argentino in Germany. The performances were accompanied by dance interludes by the dance couple "El Aleman y Nicole".

In 1993 Meisl founded the artist and event agency La Gala - international cultural projects.

The La Galana cigar factory

In 2005 Meisl founded the first Cologne cigar manufactory called La Galana in the Ehrenfeld district of Cologne . The two types of cigars, Clásica and Privada, are produced in the manufactory. The cigars are made by Cuban cigar rollers with Nicaraguan tobacco and according to German quality standards. The author Sebastian A. Reichert counts “La Galana” among the “111 Cologne shops you have to see” and the authors Monika Salchert and Ulla Scholz also highlight “La Galana” in their Cologne shopping guide.

Author

On April 23, 2012, Annette Meisl's guidebook Five Men for Me was published by Südwest Verlag. In her autobiographical debut work, Meisl traces the self -experiment 5-Lover . After the failure of a 15-year-old supposedly happy marriage, Meisl first fell into a deep hole. The reader learns about insights into Meisl's love life, how she gains a new zest for life and develops a healthy self-esteem thanks to the self-imposed 5-lover project. The guide contains tips for women in similar situations. Günter Wallraff calls Meisl Experiment a "version of the future - crazy, unrealizable, passionate, authentic". The astrologer and author Antonia Langsdorf portrays Meisl in her book "Lilith - The Wisdom of the Untamed Woman" in one of six Lilith stories. The authors Simone Harre and Nicole Roewers also see the relevance of Meisl's love project and include it in their documentary story volume “Von der Liebe in Köln”. Five men for me triggered a broad media coverage after the publication. In addition to reviews in newspapers and magazines, Meisl was also a guest at Markus Lanz , at SWR Nachtcafé , at Westart and received a three-part contribution to FrauTV . Due to her love affair with several men, she is sometimes referred to in the media as polygamous , but also as polyamorous . Meisl has been publishing videos and interviews about love on her YouTube channel since 2013. On April 8, 2014, her stage show "Five men for me - A frivolous discovery tour through the mazes of love" premiered at the Arkadas Theater / Bühne der Kulturen in Cologne.
