Charles Shaw (born July 4, 1960 in Houston , Texas ) is an American soldier and singer.

Shaw came to Germany in 1978 with the US Army . As one of the original voices of the pop band Milli Vanilli and the song Girl You Know It's True (alongside Johnny Davis and Brad Howell) only his voice was known. The song was sold 21 million times and even received a Grammy , which was revoked when it was discovered afterwards that the original voices did not belong to the two foreground actors Robert and Fabrice . His first own single was available on LP and was titled Hey Jude .

Charles Shaw collaborated with Silvia Brown on the music for the film "Bony a Klid". Through his collaboration with the musician Ondřej Soukup , the songs "I Leave It Up To You", "Right on my pillow" and "Hold Me Baby" were created. The film “Bony a Klid” is also known in Germany under the name “The boss also knows the public prosecutor”. The songs were secretly recorded in 1986 in Prague in what was then Czechoslovakia.

Charles Shaw appeared on the German TV show Das Supertalent on October 13, 2012 to present his voice and to bring out the face of the voice behind the song from Milli Vanilli's "Girl You Know It's True".
