Life

The movable counter boxer then turned professional, but was outclassed by Robert Davis, who also had him on the ground. He was then matched against the amateur star Lamon Brewster and surprisingly outperformed him. Another well-known opponent he hit was the dreaded puncher Jimmy Thunder, but who had long been on the decline. Both opponents were not top 50 in the IWBR computer rankings at the time.

Then he got a WBO title fight against Wladimir Klitschko in 2001 but was completely overwhelmed and knocked out. He then lost to Lawrence Clay Bey on points, against Jameel McCline (TKO) and on points against Samuel Peter .

In Michael Mann's biography Ali , Shufford took on the role of George Foreman in 2001 .
