Charles de Bancalis de Maurel d'Aragon (born November 18, 1945 in Saliès on the Tarn (river) ) is a former French diplomat .
Life
Charles de Bancalis de Maurel d'Aragon was the son of Diane d'Albon (born June 25, 1921 in Paris) and Charles de Bancalis de Maurel d'Aragon (born November 10, 1911 in Bourges ; † 1986). From February 3, 1997 to September 10, 2002 he was ambassador to Damascus . From 2004 to May 15, 2007 he was ambassador to Riyadh .
