Daniel Contenay

Daniel Contenay (born May 1, 1937 in Nice ) is a former French diplomat .

Life

Daniel Contenay is the son of Jeanine Szajerowicz and André Contenay, an architect. He is divorced from Florence Goetz. He studied law at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris and entered the foreign service in 1963. At the Quai d'Orsay he was Edgard Pisani's project manager (agriculture, then equipment, 1965–1966). From 1985 to 1986 Daniel Contenay was Consul General at Möhlstrasse 10, Bogenhausen , with the district of Bavaria . From June 30, 1989 to March 29, 1993 he was ambassador to Damascus .
