Charles de Lint
Charles de Lint (* 22. December 1951 in Bussum , Netherlands ; actually Charles Hoefsmit ) is a Canadian fantasy - author and musician.
biography
After his fantasy debut The Oak King's Daughter (1979), Lint stayed true to the genre and expanded this book to the cycle Tales of Cerin Songweaver . Works like Grünmantel ( Greenmantle , 1988) and Das kleine Land ( The Little Country ) follow. Together with Philip José Farmer , Lint is responsible for part of the dungeon cycle . He also wrote several horror novels. In 2000 he won the World Fantasy Award for Moonlight and Vines . He lives in Ottawa and is married to the artist MaryAnn Harris . In 2018 he received the World Fantasy Award for his life's work.
