Charlie Huston

Charlie Huston (* 1968 in Oakland , California ) is an American novel , comic book and screenwriter .

Life

Huston began writing his first short stories at the age of eleven and wrote his first science fiction noir story at the age of 13. Although he kept writing in his life, he didn't really want to become a writer or publish his works. Instead, he began studying theater and moved to New York in 1995 to take up acting, but made a living as a bartender.

In late February 2006 he was nominated for the Edgar , the Mystery Writers of America Prize.

He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Virginia Louise Smith .
