Charles Nosike "Charlie" Rugg (born October 2, 1990 in Roslindale ) is an American football player who is mostly used as a striker . He is currently under contract with FK Pirmasens .

Career

Rugg was on 17 January 2013 as the 19th pick in the first round of the MLS Super Draft 2013 by Los Angeles Galaxy selected. He made his competitive debut on April 27, 2013 against Real Salt Lake , where he also scored his first competitive goal in the 13th minute.

After he was used in just three more games in the following years, Rugg was loaned to the second team from LA Galaxy, which plays in the United Soccer League . For this he scored the first goal in the club's history of the second team in the first game.

On October 1, 2014, he was loaned to Indy Eleven for the remainder of the season in the North American Soccer League . After he was able to convince there, Indy Eleven loaned him again for the following season.

At the end of the 2015 season, his expiring contract with Los Angeles Galaxy was not renewed.

In February 2016, Rugg moved to Germany in the Regionalliga Südwest at Eintracht Trier . In his competitive debut for Trier, Rugg scored two goals against FC 08 Homburg .

In 2016/17 he played for FK Pirmasens and left the club after the season with an unknown goal.
