Charlotte Helen Radcliffe (born August 3, 1903 in Garston , Merseyside ; died December 12, 1979 in Liverpool ) was a British swimmer.

Career

Radcliffe started at the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 for the British team in 100-meter freestyle swimming . However, she only finished seventh in her semifinals, which was not enough to qualify for the final. In addition, she competed with Hilda James , Constance Jeans and Grace MacKenzie in the 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay and won the silver medal in a time of 5: 40.8 minutes behind the US team.

Radcliffe was a great-aunt of the successful long-distance runner Paula Radcliffe .
