Khawdislamyn Badelchan

Chawdislamyn Badjelchan ( Mongolian Хавдисламын Баделхан ) is a Mongolian politician of the Mongolian People's Party (MVP), who has been a member of the Great Chural since 2016 and Minister of Construction and Urban Development since 2017.

Life

After attending secondary school No. 1 in Ölgii in 1971, Badjelchan began studying at the Polytechnic University, which he graduated in 1976. He then began his professional career as an engineer at the Ulaanbaatar public bus company in 1976 and was then chief engineer and department head of the Bajan-Ölgii-Aimag transport authority between 1978 and 1988 . After graduating from the Administration Academy in Moscow in 1990, between 1990 and 1991 he was head of the State Building Authority of the Representative People's Chural of the Bajan-Olgii-Aimag. He was then director of the Urkyen foreign trade company from 1991 to 1994 and director general of the Jol road construction company between 1994 and 2000 .

Thereafter, Badjelchan acted between 2000 and 2005 as governor of the Bajan-Ölgii-Aimag. In 2001 he was awarded the medal “80. Anniversary of the People's Revolution ”, was awarded the Order of the Polar Star in 2005 and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor in 2008. As a representative of the Mongolian People's Party (MVP), he was a member of the Great State of Chural for the first time between 2008 and 2012 and received the title of "Leading Road Builder" in 2009 and the title of "Honored Economist of Mongolia" in 2011. From 2012 to 2015 he was an advisor to the MVP parliamentary group in the Great State of Chural, before he was Deputy Minister of Industry between 2015 and 2016. In 2016 he was again a member of the Great State Chural for the MVP. Since 2017 he has been Minister for Construction and Urban Development in the government of Prime Minister Uchnaagiin Chürelsüch .
