biography

Cherine Nouri is the daughter of Lebanese parents. In 1994 she founded the R&B duo Le Chant with her childhood friend Anisa Kadraoui . Together they worked on their musical training and took part in talent competitions. When they met the songwriter Sacha Stadie in 2000, who had written for Ayman among others , they took their first steps in the music business. In 2002 they played in the opening act for Sarah Connor's tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland, were represented on the Coca Cola Christmas Tour and appeared on radio and television. They also released a single called Be With Me .

But the project did not last and Nouri started a solo career. In the meantime, a joint project followed with rapper Dean Burke from Music Instructor and singer Maya. As a “DMC Project” they recorded the official song Game of Your Life for the German Bowl XXX , the 2008 German American Football final , and played the song live halfway through the final game.

The following year she worked with the Berlin artist André Buchmann (called: "Brix") on a solo album. Her first single, which was released in October 2009, is entitled Faithful . The song was used as music for the RTL two-part Vulkan and reached number 22 on the German charts the week after it was broadcast.
