Entrance to Chester Station

Chester is an underground subway station in Toronto . It is on the Bloor-Danforth Line of the Toronto Subway , at the intersection of Danforth Avenue and Broadview Avenue. The station, which has side platforms, is used by an average of 7,700 passengers every day (2015) and is therefore one of the least frequented on the entire subway network.

Withrow Park is nearby. Chester is the only station in the entire Toronto subway network that has no connection to bus or tram lines, which is one of the reasons for the low traffic. The station opened on February 26, 1966, along with the Keele - Woodbine section .
