The FC Chester (officially: Chester Football Club ) is an English football club from Chester , a city in north-west England, near the border with Wales . The club was founded in 2010 as the successor to Chester City .
history
The club, founded after the dissolution of Chester City , entered the eighth division One North of the Northern Premier League in 2010/11 and played from 2013 - after three consecutive promotions - in the fifth division Football Conference . The penultimate of the 2017/18 season was relegation to the National League North after four years .
