Chester Travis

Chester Travis (born July 4, 1987 in Christchurch ) is a New Zealand filmmaker , writer , composer and musician .

Life

Travis grew up in Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand . At the end of the 2000s he moved to London , where he met the musician Tim Hook and with whom he founded the duo Great Danes. The band later moved to Berlin and recorded an EP with which they toured.

In 2014, Travis wrote, directed, and starred in the ten-part web series How to Be Gay , which won the Best Queer Series category at the San Francisco Web Festival. In 2017 Travis composed three songs for the Amazon Prime series You Are Wanted . In 2018, he contributed 100 things to the film's soundtrack .
