Chey Tae-won (born December 3, 1961 ) is a South Korean manager .

Life

Chey Tae-won, since 1988, succeeded his father in managing the South Korean company SK Group , which was founded by his uncle. In December 2012, he resigned as chairman and was succeeded by Kim Chang-keun . Chey remains the largest shareholder . In late January 2013 he was sentenced to four years in prison for embezzlement and pardoned in 2015. According to the US Forbes Magazine, he is one of the richest South Koreans. Chey Tae-won is married with three children and lives in Seoul . His wife is the daughter of former South Korean President Roh Tae-woo .
