The Chicagoblok , also known by its address Ernest Claesstraat 10-16 , is a residential tower in the Belgian port city of Antwerp . The building is located in the Linkeroever district and is part of the Europapark, a building complex consisting of several residential towers.

The Chicagoblok was built in 1970. The tower is 81 meters high and is spread over 27 floors. More than 6000 people from over 30 countries live in the building. It is the fourth tallest building in the city after the Cathedral of Our Lady , Boerentoren and Antwerp Tower and is one of the tallest buildings in Belgium . From 2003 to 2004, minor renovation work was carried out on the entrance area in particular.

The Dutch documentary Chicagoblok - Verhalen uit de lift (Tales from the Elevator) from 2008 is about the building and its inhabitants.
