The Academy of Buddhism of China or Chinese Buddhist Academy ( Chinese  中国 佛 学院 , Pinyin Zhongguo Foxueyuan , English The Chinese Buddhist Academy ) is an important teaching institution of Buddhism in the Chinese language founded in 1956 by the Association of Buddhists of China . It is located in Beijing's Fayuan Si . It trains specialists for Buddhist research and teaching as well as for monastery administration and international exchange.

It has had two branches at Lingyan Mountain in Suzhou and Qixia Mountain in Nanjing since the early 1980s .
