The Chinstrap Cove is a bay on the northwest coast of Clarence Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 5 km northeast of Escarpada Point .
Participants of the UK Joint Services Expedition (1970-1971) made the naming. Is named the chinstrap ( Phygoscelis antarctica , English Chinstrap penguin ), part of the bay to the breeding grounds.
