The Giridawa Glacier ( Bulgarian Ледник Гиридава Lednik Giridawa ) is a 2.7 km long and 1.2 km wide glacier on Clarence Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It flows from the slopes of Mount Irving on the west side of Urda Ridge north of Skapliso Glacier and southwest of Bersame Glacier in a north-westerly direction to Chinstrap Cove , which it reaches east of Vaglen Point .
British scientists mapped it in 1972 and 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after the Thracian town of Giridawa in the north of what is now Bulgaria .
