The Bersame Glacier ( Bulgarian Ледник Берсаме Lednik Bersame ) is a 2.4 km long and 1.5 km wide glacier on Clarence Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It flows from the slopes of Mount Llana on the west side of Urda Ridge northeast of Giridawa Glacier in a north-westerly direction to the Southern Ocean .
British scientists mapped it in 1972 and 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after the Thracian town of Bersame in the south-west of what is now Bulgaria .
