Chiole is a village in Malawi about two kilometers east of the town of Ntcheu in the province of the same name.

history

The village is located on former mission land of British missionaries , as the evangelical church from 1907 attests to. On October 27, 2007, the President of Malawi Bingu wa Mutharika attended the 100th anniversary celebration of this building.

Children's village Malo A Mcherezo

The children's village Malo A Mcherezo was established on the land of the church in September 2002 , which means "place of security" in Chichewa . Around 200 orphans are currently being cared for here. Some of them live in the project, others come on foot from 30 other villages in the area every day.

The children's village has had its own well since October 20, 2007. The well delivers around one cubic meter of water per hour from a depth of 60 meters. The project operates cattle breeding for self-sufficiency and the sale of meat . A dairy, which also produces cheese and yoghurt products, follows.

Water supply

The village of Chiole has its own hand water pump that is used by the villagers. In the valley, the state water works has three water wells, in which a total of about 154 cubic meters per hour are pumped from a depth of 50 to 70 meters. From the valley, the water is also transported to Ntcheu via an intermediate tank that supplies Chiole.
