Sherezada Vicioso (born June 21, 1948 in Santo Domingo ), known as Chiqui Vicioso , is a Dominican poet, writer and sociologist.

Vicioso studied sociology and Latin American history at Brooklyn College in New York, earned a master's degree in educational program design from Columbia University and studied cultural project management at the Fundación Getulio Vargas in Río de Janeiro. From 1981 to 1985 she was director of education at Pro Familia , from 1986 to 1987 advisor for the United Nations women's advancement program and Dominican representative for women's programs at UNESCO.

She worked as a columnist for the Listín Diario newspaper , worked for La Noticia and headed the Cantitad hechizada literature site at El Nuevo Diario . In 1988 she founded the Círculo de Mujeres Poetas . In 1988 she received the Caonabo de Oro and in 1992 the Dirección General de Promoción de la Mujer awarded her the Medalla de Mérito Oro as the most outstanding woman of the year.

Vicioso's poems have appeared in the anthologies Sin otro profeta que su canto (Antología de la poesía fe-menina dominicana) and Poemas del exilio y de otras inquietudes , edited by Daisy Cocco De Filippis , in Franklin Gutiérrez ' Antología histórica de la poesía dominicana del siglo XX and Manuel Ruedas Dos siglos de literatura dominicana . She won the Premio Nacional de Teatro in 1997 with her piece Wish-ky Sour .
