Cho Yong-hyung (born November 3, 1983 in Incheon ) is a South Korean football player .

Career

Cho began his professional career in 2005 as a player for Bucheon SK and was voted into the best team of the season in his first year in the K-League . After moving to the top club Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma , the central defender was able to establish himself as a regular player and was runner-up with the team in 2007. He returned to Jeju United the following season .

For the 2010/11 season he moved to Al-Rayyan .

The new national coach of South Korea, Huh Jung-moo , called him into the squad for the first game under his leadership in January 2008 against Chile. Since then, Cho has played regularly in the South Korean national team and also took part in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
