Choco Crossies is a brand name for industrially produced confections made from chocolate- coated cornflakes and almonds . They were introduced in the Federal Republic of Germany by Rowntree Macintosh in 1968 , and have been manufactured by Nestlé since the takeover in 1989 . In the GDR , an imitation product with crispbread slivers instead of cornflakes was offered, the Zetti crispy flakes . Several imitation products were and are also available in West Germany and in reunified Germany.

In 2016 the filling quantity of the product was only 150 grams (2x75 g). This means that since 2010 the amount has been reduced from 200 to 180 and 160 grams to 150 grams at the same price, and thus a hidden price increase has been implemented.
