Holger Brück (born September 30, 1947 in Kassel ) is a former soccer player who occasionally still helps out as a coach .
Since 1967 he played as a youth and then as a regional league player at KSV Hessen Kassel . From 1972 to 1981 Brück played 231 first and 40 second division games as an attacking defender and midfielder for Hertha BSC . He scored 27 goals. In 1981 he moved back to Kassel. He played eight second division games for KSV Hessen Kassel.
With the Calgary Boomers in Canada, Brück initially ended his active professional career after the 1981/82 season, but returned to Kassel in the 2nd Bundesliga that season. From 1982 to 1986 he played for GSV Eintracht Baunatal in the Landesliga Hessen Nord and the Oberliga Hessen. In 1987 he returned to KSV Hessen and played another 45 league games and in the 1989/90 season another five second division games for Hessen Kassel.
Brück then got involved as president and trainer of KSV Hessen Kassel and was significantly involved in the new beginning and reconstruction after the bankruptcy as well as in times of crisis of the traditional Kassel football club. During his active time in Baunatal , he took over the coaching position at KSV Hessen Kassel on May 13, 1987. Later he was also the interim coach of both the first and the second team several times. He looked after the second team of KSV Hessen in the 1988/89 and 1994/95 seasons and the first team in the 1995/96 season and as an interim coach in 2001 (twice). On February 3, 1998 he was elected first chairman of the new Kurhessischer Sportverein Hessen Kassel, whose first team in the district league had to start over. On July 26, 2002, he moved to the Supervisory Board for a few years.
Holger Brück lives in Kassel . He runs a sports shop there and works for the DFB . In autumn 2011 he made himself available again as an interim trainer for the KSV until Uwe Wolf was found at the end of the year .
