Choi Jum-hwan
Choi Jum-hwan (born June 9, 1963 in Busan , South Korea ) is a former South Korean boxer in light fly and straw weight .
Professional career
In 1983 he started his professional career successfully. On December 7, 1986, he boxed in the light flyweight against Cho-Woon Park for the world championship of the IBF association and won on points. He lost this title in his fourth title defense in November 1988 to Tacy Macalos .
On November 12th of the following year, already in his next fight, he became WBC world champion in strawweight when he defeated Napa Kiatwanchai in the 12th round by technical knockout . In February of the following year he lost the title in his first title defense against Hideyuki Ōhashi by knockout in the 9th round and then ended his career.
